PSA: Casio G-Shock just became a real GPS sports watch
One major missing feature that prevented the watch from living on my wrist has now been addressed
Back in April I reviewed the Casio G-SHOCK GBD-H2000 watch and awarded it 3/5 Medals of Yavin. With an update to the Casio Watches that just happened over the last couple of weeks, I’m bumping that score up to a 4/5.
Previously, all of your run and heart rate data lived within the Casio Watches app and some people may have been satisfied with that. However, if you like to track your data over time, measure performance, and use that data in other places then you were out of luck.
Check out my video below for why this watch may now be in my wearable rotation.
The Casio Watches app can now be set up to sync to Strava and as a long time Strava subscriber that makes me very happy. GPS accuracy is solid, but not as good as dedicated GPS sports watches. Heart rate accuracy is also decent. For fans of the G-SHOCK watch, this is great news and makes this watch one that I would consider too.
